Mr. Ravi Singh AVP Marketing-Cranes Software introduced Prof. Reddy to the participants. He then gave a corporate presentation to the participants in order to familiarize them with Cranes.
On the first day Prof Reddy started with an introduction to the Finite Element Method, followed by an explanation on finite element analysis of 1-D and 2-D problems. On day two he covered topic on Time Dependent problems and Modeling Considerations during the first session. During the second session he discussed Nonlinear Finite Element Models and explained Nonlinear FEM approach for beams and plate bending problems. Day three was spent on continuum mechanics problems and continuum formulations of solid mechanics problems and shells. During the later part of the day he also discussed Fluid Dynamics and Coupled Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer problems. Day four started with a discussion on Least- square based finite element models and tensor based shell finite elements. He gave a bird’s eye view of the latest development in the field of Finite Element Formulations such as Adaptive and FGM Structures, followed by a summary of the course. NISA software was used to demonstrate problems of different types during the course. The demonstrations were done by Cranes engineers.
Course completion certificates were distributed to all the participants. Prof. Reddy's book "Introduction to Finite Element Analysis" was also distributed to all the participants. The Professor signed all the books as per the request of everyone.
Mr. Ravi Singh delivered the vote of thanks to give a formal end to the training program.
