All India NISA Users Conference 2007 Highlights

Cranes Software International Limited held the ‘All India NISA Users Conference’ for the users of its ‘NISA’ suite of FEA Software on the 19th of January 2007 at the Le Meridian Hotel in Bangalore. The conference witnessed a high congregation of both NISA users as well as experts in the field of FEA.

The conference which was graced by luminaries in the province of FEA, served as an opportunity for select NISA users to present their cutting-edge research and findings. The conference saw vigorous deliberations on a wide range of issues pertaining to NISA and problems relating to various FEA techniques, as well as proposals for future versions of NISA.

Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Sr. VP, Cranes Software Int’l Ltd struck the perfect note in a very well received welcome speech which in a sense set the trend for subsequent speakers of peerless repute. The luminaries comprised among others the keynote speaker Dr. Gangan Pratap, Director CMMACS (NAL). Dr. Gangan Pratap a world renowned scientist who rarely accepts such invitations had the user community in rapture when he spoke of various mathematical challenges being faced in contemporary FEA. This was followed by a thought provoking and inspirational speech from Dr. Rudra Pratap, Chairman – Cranes Software Int’l Ltd. The conference then proceeded with other prominent speakers from Bhaba Atomic Research Center, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited and Gas Turbine Research Establishment. An important highlight of the conference was the unveiling of NISA Version 15 the latest version of NISA by Mr. Mueed Khader, Executive Director – Cranes Software Int’l Ltd in conjunction with Dr. Gangan Pratap.

The conference concluded with a panel discussion where all the speakers and senior researchers from Cranes got together to discuss various pressing issues in the FEA domain and the best way forward for NISA.
