Structural analysis of a multi-layered space frame canopy subjected to various loads

A project was undertaken to analyze a multi-layered steel space frame structure which was to form the entrance canopy of an important building.

The 3D FEM model of the structure was created. The structure was analyzed for a range of Dead Loads, Live Loads, Wind Loads and Temperature Loads. All elements were validated for strength criteria as per IS 800-1984.
