With ever increasing push for energy efficiency and stricter emission norms CFD has become an inevitable part of designing and analysis of Industrial equipments and processes throughout the world. Power plant equipment being one of the source of higher emissions, CFD becomes more crucial for power sector. BHEL, is one the better known Indian Public Sector Units and has set up a Center of excellence for CFD at its Corporate R&D and managing an up-to-date facility and carrying out CFD studies.
Its Centre of Excellence for CFD, Hyderabad is conducting a 2 day National Conference On CFD Applications in Power and Industry Sectors on the 28th and 29th of January '09.
The conference is aimed at bringing together people (academia and industry) working in different aspects of fluid dynamics and design of power plant equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, steam generators, condensers, pumps, fans and compressors, from both within and outside the country, to share their experience. The focus is on developments in design, analysis and technologies that contribute to performance improvement of power plant and process equipment.
